Lex Grobben is filoloog, mede-oprichter van het literaire tijdschrift De Brakke Hond, en schilder.
Hij exposeerde onder meer in Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Boedapest, Brussel, Gent, Leuven, Neerpelt, New York, Philadelphia, Princeton en Sint-Baafs-Vijve.
In 1988 wordt hij geselecteerd voor de Provinciale Prijs Schilderkunst Antwerpen. Zijn werk wordt aangekocht door de Belgische Staat en de Provincie Antwerpen. In 2011 wint hij de Lamorinièreprijs.
Lex Grobben woont en schildert in Antwerpen en Rebecq.
Hij speelt 5-string banjo bij Nervous Willy.

Lex Grobben est philologue, cofondateur de la revue littéraire De Brakke Hond, et peintre.
Il a exposé ses œuvres notamment à Amsterdam, Anvers, Bruxelles, Budapest, Gand, Louvain, Neerpelt, New York, Philadelphia, Princeton et Sint-Baafs-Vijve.
En 1988 il est sélectionné pour le Prix de la Peinture de la Province d’Anvers. Ses œuvres font partie des collections achetées par l’Etat belge et par la Province d’Anvers. En 2011 il remporte le Prix Lamorinière.
Lex Grobben vit en peint à Anvers et à Rebecq.
Il est membre du groupe Nervous Willy où il joue le banjo à 5 cordes.

Lex Grobben is a philologist, co-founder of the literary magazine De Brakke Hond, and a painter.
He has exhibited his paintings in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, Budapest, Ghent, Louvain, Neerpelt, New-York, Philadelphia, Princeton and Sint-Baafs-Vijve a.o.
In 1988 he was selected for the Antwerp Province Award for Painting. His paintings have been purchased by the State of Belgium and the Province of Antwerp. In 2011 he won the Lamorinière Award.
Lex Grobben lives and paints in Antwerp and Rebecq.
He plays the 5-string banjo with Nervous Willy.
